The BEST Spicy Garlic Shrimp with a DEEP Garlic Flavor

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 60 ml
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp hot smoked Spanish paprika 1.15 grams
  • 20 raw jumbo shrimp peeled & deveined
  • handful finely chopped parsley
  • pinch sea salt
  • dash black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large fry pan with a medium heat

  2. Meanwhile, thinly slice 6 cloves of garlic, finely chop a handful of fresh parsley and pat dry 20 raw jumbo shrimp (peeled & deveined) with paper towels, season with sea salt & black pepper just on one side

  3. After heating the pan for 6 to 8 minutes on a medium heat, add in 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil and 2 cloves of garlic (peeled), mix continuously, after 2 minutes and the garlic is lightly sauteed, remove from the pan and discard, then add in the shrimp seasoned side down, all in a single layer, cook for 60 seconds per side, then remove from the pan and set aside

  4. Lower the heat to a low heat, add in the sliced garlic, mix continuously, after 1 minute and the garlic is lightly sauteed turn off the heat, add in 1/2 tsp hot smoked Spanish paprika and a little sea salt, mix together, then add in the shrimp and mix together

  5. Transfer the shrimp into a serving dish, pour the garlic sauce over the shrimp and sprinkle with the finely chopped parsley, serve at once, enjoy!
