Ingredients

  • 1/2 lbs fresh green beans 250 grams
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
  • pinch sea salt
  • pinch black pepper
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1/2 lbs (250g) of fresh green beans under cold running water, shake off any of the excess water and cut off 1/2 inch from each end of each green bean, also thinly slice 5 cloves of garlic

  2. Heat a fry pan with a medium heat and add a 1/4 cup of cold water, once the water comes to a light boil add the green beans into the pan and place a lid on top

  3. Three minutes after adding the lid remove it, there should be almost no water left in the pan, drizzle in a generous tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and the thinly sliced garlics, mix everything together, continue to mix so the garlics can lightly cook, you don´t want to brown the garlics, just make them fragrant

  4. After 2 minutes turn off the heat, add in 1 tsp of sweet smoked paprika and season everything with sea salt & freshly cracked black pepper, mix together until well combined, very important to turn off the heat so the paprika does not get a bitter flavor

  5. Transfer the green beans into a serving dish, making sure to grab all the garlics in the pan and garnish with lemon wedges, enjoy!
