Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 45 ml
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 8 king scallops
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley 8 grams
  • 1/2 tsp sweet smoked Spanish paprika 1.15 grams
  • dash sea salt
  • dash black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large fry pan with a medium-high heat

  2. Meanwhile, roughly chop 4 cloves of garlic and pat dry 8 king scallops with paper towels, season with sea salt & black pepper on both sides

  3. After heating the pan for about 7 to 8 minutes, add in 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil and start adding the scallops into the pan, all in a single layer

  4. After 90 seconds flip the scallops to cook the other side, after another 90 seconds and the scallops have a crusty sear on both sides, remove the pan from the heat

  5. Transfer the scallops in a single layer into a serving dish

  6. Heat the same pan with a low-medium heat, add in the chopped garlic and mix with the olive oil, after 30 seconds add in 1/2 tsp sweet smoked paprika, turn off the heat and mix together

  7. Pour the sauce over the scallops and top off with finely chopped parsley, serve at once, enjoy!
