Spanish Apple Cinnamon Fritters | Super EASY 20 Minute Recipe
These Spanish Apple Cinnamon Fritters, known as Buñuelos de Manzana y Canela, are the perfect treat for any time of the year. They’re filled with simple yet delicious flavors, super easy to make, and all done in about 20 minutes. Serve them warm or even at room temperature.
To make this recipe, I used Granny Smith apples. Which are what’s typically used to make these fritters. You can use other types of apples if you like. Such as Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, Crispin, or even Jonagold apples.
For the oil, I used sunflower oil. But any other type of neutral oil can be used. The most important thing? Make sure to fry your fritters on medium heat and nothing higher. Otherwise, the fritters will brown too quickly on the outside and not fully cook on the inside.
TIPS & TRICKS to Make this Recipe: When making your batter, if you see it’s too thin, just add in some flour. If it’s too dry, add in more milk or even some whisked egg. You can make the batter ahead of time. It will hold for up to 3 days in the fridge.
