The holidays are virtually here, which means we´re rushing around with so much to do. With that being said, sometimes when we´re cooking for our family or a holiday party, we forget one of the most important elements of a meal. Bread. Cheesy Garlic Bread
This Cheesy Garlic Bread has the most incredible flavors, it´s above & beyond easy to make and once again, it comes together in about 10 minutes. So just in-case you forgot about the bread in your meal. Whip this recipe up and be the hero of the evening. The perfect bread to share during the holidays, but with one taste, you will be making it all year round 🙂 .

Cheesy Garlic Bread
To make this recipe, I used a Manchego cheese that was aged for 3 months. But you can use any cheese you like. Such as: Gruyère, Mozarella or Cheddar. Either way, make sure it´s a cheese that easily melts and has some flavor to it.

TIPS & TRICKS to Make this Recipe: The secret to cutting the baguette, is to cut it into slices, but don´t cut all the way through. This way the baguette stays intact and gives the cheesy garlic bread a beautiful presentation. I used a typical baguette here, but you can use any type of bread you want. When adding to the oven, just heat enough for the cheese to melt, no need to brown the cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 2 cups shredded Manchego cheese 226 grams
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp dried oregano 1 gram
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley 8 grams
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 30 ml
  • dash sea salt
  • dash black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut 1 baguette into 1 inch (2.50 cm) thick slices, slice the bread but don´t cut all the way through, that way the baguette stays intact, transfer into a baking tray lined with parchment paper

  3. Gently add spoonfuls of the mixture inbetween the slices of baguette

Is it possible to make inadvance, freeze and defrost on the day? I’m having several people round in a few weeks and will need about 15 tapas so even peparing some tapas the day before I’m going to be busy!
