The BEST Shrimp Skewers in Just 10 Minutes! Quick & Easy Recipe
These Spanish Shrimp Skewers, known in Spain as Pinchos Morunos de Gambas, are seriously the BEST shrimp skewers I have ever tasted. We´re talking a huge explosion of flavors, super easy to make and all done in just 10 minutes.
This dish hails from the region of Andalucía in the south of Spain. It´s typically served as a tapas appetizer. However, you can totally serve these shrimp skewers as a main course. Next to some roasted potatoes and a classic Spanish salad.
What really flavors these shrimp skewers is the spice blend. Which is made with everyday basic pantry spices. However, for the paprika, I do recommend you use sweet smoked Spanish paprika vs other paprikas. As it makes all the difference in the flavor.
TIPS & TRICKS to Make this Recipe: I used raw jumbo shrimp I bought frozen and thawed out. But you can use fresh shrimp if you like. Either way, make sure to pat the shrimp completely dry with paper towels. This way the shrimp can absorb all the flavors from the spice blend. Also, make sure to not overcook your shrimp. Usually 60 to 90 seconds per side is ideal.
Key Ingredients & Cookware I used in this Recipe:
MY NONSTICK GRILL PAN
EXTRA VIRGIN SPANISH OLIVE OIL
SWEET SMOKED SPANISH PAPRIKA
