Pan Grilled Cuttlefish – Sepia a la Plancha

Seafood in Spain is like bacon in North America (so says my Californian wife), we consume it almost everyday. This recipe uses cuttlefish, which is most commonly found in the Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea.

Pan Grilled Cuttlefish - Sepia a la Plancha
Cuttlefish is very similar to squid, except it has a bit more flavor, this is why it´s not usually deep-fried. This seafood tapa of pan grilled cuttlefish, known as ¨Sepia a la Plancha¨ in Spain, is found in just about every single bar and restaurant in Spain.

It is the perfect started to any meal, or a great mid-afternoon snack while sipping on a cold beer. Watch our video recipe below on how to easily make pan grilled cuttlefish and enjoy the beautiful flavors of the sea. If you cant find cuttlefish in your area, squid is the best substitute. Salud!
