Tuna is a very popular fish that is used in Spanish cuisine. In Spain, we produce probably the best canned tuna in the world. But in today’s recipe we’re not talking canned tuna, we’re talking fresh tuna. In Spain, whenever you go to a tapas bar, you will find all sorts of snacks, one of them being tuna skewers with olives and capers. This is a clever way of getting alot of different flavors into one bite. This tapa is most popular in the north of Spain, where people prefer to snack on some tapas for dinner, than have a full course meal. Tuna Skewers with Olives and Capers

Ingredients
- 2 Fillets of Tuna
- 20 Spanish Olives
- 20 Capers
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 Lemon
- 5 Wooden Skewers
- Sea Salt
Instructions

Pre-heat your over on the bake and broil option to 210C - 410F

Cut the tuna steaks into squares, about 1 inch x 1 inch

Add the tuna pieces into a bowl

Add 1 Tbsp extra virgin Spanish Olive oil to the bowl, squeeze some fresh lemon juice and season with sea salt

Toss everything together until well mixed

Grab the olives and stuff each one with a caper
-
Add one stuffed olive to the wooden skewer and then a square of the tuna and repeat
-
Put the skewers on a baking sheet with parchent paper and add to the oven
-
After 6-7 minutes take the tuna skewers out of the oven

Place on a plate and serve with some lemon wedges
