The BEST Tomato Salad of Your Life | Spanish Trampó Mallorquín Recipe
This Spanish Tomato Salad, known as Trampó Mallorquín, is what simple and delicious food is all about. We’re talking basic ingredients, a ton of great flavors and all done within minutes. Serve this salad at room temperature or even chilled, and always next to a crunchy baguette for the ultimate Spanish treat.
To make this recipe, I used tomatoes on the vine. You can use whatever tomatoes you like. The most important thing, make sure they’re ripe, as that’s what gives this salad that depth of goodness. For the onion, I used a white onion, other mild onions can be used, such as red onions or even shallots.
What really flavors this salad is the homemade dressing. Made with just olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and parsley. Important to use a great olive oil, as it’s the base fat of the salad and what truly brings it all together.
TIPS & TRICKS to Make this Recipe: As stated above, you can serve this salad at room temperature or even chilled. It will hold in the fridge for up to 4 to 5 days in an airtight container.

Mallorcan-Style Tomato Salad | Trampó Mallorquín
Ingredients
- 6 tomatoes
- 1 white onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 can green pitted olives 14 oz / 400 grams
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 45 ml
- 1 tbsp lemon juice 15 ml
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley 4 grams
- sea salt & black pepper
Instructions

Add the olive oil into a small bowl, along with the lemon juice, the clove of garlic finely grated and the parsley, then season with sea salt & black pepper and whisk together until well mixed, set aside

Finely chop the tomatoes, finely chop the onion and finely chop the green bell pepper, then drain the can of olives into a fine sieve and shake off any excess liquid

Add the ingredients into a large bowl, season with sea salt & black pepper, pour in the dressing and gently mix together until well mixed

Serve at room temperature or chilled, it will hold for up to 4 to 5 days in the fridge, enjoy!
